Going Back

I guess I’m going to go back to Peyton’s Pages on blogger. I don’t want to delete any images I’ve already uploaded, and I don’t want to pay for more space, so…

Image Space

I tried to upload some pictures today, but apparently I’ve used up all my space. So now what?

10 on tuesday

1. Peyton can spell her name. She doesn’t know her letters yet, so I know this is only memorization, but I still think she is a genius.

2. Peyton got a big yellow duck from my friend Erin, and Daragan loves it. Whenever Peyton sees Daragan with it she says, “no, Daragan. That Peyton’s. Leave it alone.”

3. Peyton is loving her Princess Jasmine dress up shoes these days. I wonder if she’ll start getting into dress up. She’ll be the girl in a princess dress playing with cars, airplanes and helicopters.

4. I love that Peyton calls puddles “muddles”.

5. Every year the city puts on “city fest” with concerts, a big kid area with inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses, pony rides, crafts, and of course there is a ton of food and other vendors selling various items. Anyway, it’s within walking distance from our house. I was finally feeling a little better on Saturday night (got a stomach bug of friday), so we decided to see if there was anything fun Peyton could do. She saw the ponies, and asked to ride them, so we walked back to our house to get a few dollars. When we got back in line the lady announced that they were putting the ponies away because it was about to storm. As soon as we turned around to start walking home it started pouring. Peyton loved it. Since she was such a good sport about missing out on the pony rides we decided to take her to the mall to ride the carousel on Sunday. She loves, loves, loves riding the carousel, and always cries when she has to get off. The guy that was running it walked by Cory and whispered to him that they could go one more time for free. I guess Peyton is a cute, pitiful crier… to some.

6. Wow, I hope number 5 made some sort of sense. I am a horrible story teller.

7. There are toys all over the playroom. Peyton told me she was going to make a mess, and dumped a couple of cubes of toys out. Fine by me, she’s pretty good about picking them up if we sing the clean up song together.

8. Peyton loves Lightening Mcqueen

9. More pictures

10. Finally number 10! I was struggling to find things to write about. Peyton hates flies. I told her to tell them, “shoo fly, don’t bother me”, so she goes around saying, “shoo fly, don’t bother me. Shoo fly, don’t bother carpet. Shoo fly, don’t bother mommy. Shoo fly, don’t bother toys”… whatever it lands on.

Car Washing

Peyton helped us wash the car yesterday. She loved it! Too bad our hours of work was ruined by the rain. It always seems to rain the day we decide to wash the car. The dark clouds in the sky should have been clue. Oh well. We had fun.

A little water on the car and…

then a little water on the belly. 🙂

10 on tuesday!

1. Cory’s cousin got married this past weekend in Clearwater, Fl. We left at 8:30 pm to make the 10 drive down there on Wednesday night, and got back last night. The wedding was beautiful, seeing old friends was good, we had fun at the pool and beach, and Peyton was an excellent traveler!

2. I attempted 3 photo shoots with Peyton while were at the beach, and I’m pretty disappointed in all of them. 😦

I had such high hopes for this tutu bathing suit.

Not all of the images were a bust. I do like this one, and there are a few more good ones from this night, and some good ones of Peyton and Cory’s dad the night of the wedding.

3. Daragan is still at the kennel. Cory is going to pick her up on his way home from work. It seems a little strange not having her  in the house, but it’s nice  not having to deal with her.

4. Did I tell you that we got Peyton two fish last week? The really little one died the first night we got it; he was sucked up into the filter. We thought for sure we’d come home to another dead fish, but it’s still alive! It’s name is Ponyo.

5. Today is going to be a day of unpacking and doing laundry.

6. Peyton and I are going to Idaho next month. It will probably be the last time I travel without Cory. I can’t imagine flying with a toddler and a newborn, though I have seen it done. I guess we’ll wait and see what kind of baby the little guy is before I ban flying without Cory.

7. Peyton has been obsessed with seeing airplanes since we went to Cali last month. She points them all out and screams, “airplane. you see it?”.

8. I can’t believe it’s June already! April and May flew by.

9. What day is Father’s Day?

10. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the sandcastle Cory, Tyler, Caroline and I built. It was very serious business. Of course there was no trace of our hard work the next morning.

A did a few sessions of some graduates.

Congratulations, V!

One of my best friends. I was so happy that I was able to see Krista graduation from her Master’s program. Way to go, Master Krista!

Sister kisses.

Of course I had to include one with my cutie even if her hair is a disaster. She’s rocking a little side pony because her other pigtail fell out.

Lastly, my “little” brother, Luke. I still call him my little brother even though he is like a foot taller than I am. I can’t believe he’s college bound in the fall. He’ll always be 6 to me. Congratulations, Lukey Lou!

Passing Time at the Airport

Our flight landed a little early, and my parents were a little late the night we flew in to Burbank. I think Peyton preferred it that way. She was able to run around outside and get some energy out. I took a few pictures to pass the time. Man, she’s the cutest.
